The Commons releases Eidolon in Beetje Series bottles
Inner Southeast Portland's farmhouse-style brewery The Commons is releasing Eidolon the 2nd in their Beetje Series next Friday August 17th at 5pm at the brewery. A throwback to their nano brewing roots when Beetje was once the name of the garage based brewery before they moved into a full on small craft brewery.
Eidolon is a sour, barrel aged amber farmhouse brewed with meyer lemon peel, jasmine green tea, jasmine flowers and New Zealand Hallertau hops. The beer was allowed to mature on two strains of brettanomyces in red wine barrels, then blended back together and packaged in 750ml capped bottles.
Eidolon is a collaboration between our brewer, Sean Burke, and friend/brewer Sean White, who now brews for Jackie O’s in Athens, Ohio.
The Commons Brewery crafts small batch approachable and balanced European-inspired beers. The tasting room is located at: 1810 SE 10th Ave., Unit E (entrance on SE Stephens between 10th & 11th). The Commons tasting room hours are: Friday 5-9pm, Saturday 2-9pm.
Eidolon is only available in 750ml capped bottles and will cost $12 per bottle or $135 per case.

Got mine before it was generally released, and am going back tonight to buy one for a family gathering. It tastes like nothing else out there.
