The Craft Beerds Book Needs Your Support

When I first heard about the Craft Beerds book, I was incredulous at the idea. Talk about an eccentric niche subject--craft beer labels that feature bearded men. Then again, I was honored to be asked to include my label for Upright Brewing's 'Blend Love' featuring Gigantic Brewing's Ben Love, who is occasionally bearded.

Now before you question the reasons why, watch this video:

That short flick goes a long way in convincing me that we need this book, if for no other reason to celebrate craft beer drinkers' and brewers' love of beards, and perhaps it will answer the age old question of why? The creators have this to say about their reasons:

WHY DOES THIS NEED TO EXIST?
  • Because no one's paid a tangible tribute to all the killer art and packaging from the recent craft beer explosion. (There's enough to fill a book)
  • Because it'll give exposure to many breweries you already love and want to succeed further.
  • Because it'll give exposure to many local, regional breweries you may not even know you love. Yet.
  • Because we've broken the book into themed chapters that keep it fresh, every time you pick it up—Devilish Beerds, Royal Beerds, Side-Beerds, and of course, Red Beerds, to name a few.
  • Because craft beer and facial hair are a natural combo. Ever been to a beer fest? You can't swing a growler without grazing a beard.
The authors are currently seeking funds to make this book a reality through a Kickstarter campaign that is quite affordable. Investments start at just $10 and max out at $70.
