Pig Out at Lardo with Double Mountain, Upright & the Sugar Cube

There are many parties happening around Portland in the wake of Feast, a national foodie festival taking place this week so Double Mountain Brewery co-owner Charlie Devereux and The New School set out to collaborate with one of our favorite new hotspots Lardo for a killer afterparty event.

On Friday September 21st we have invited our friends Upright Brewing and The Sugar Cube to join us for a fun late night event from 9pm - 12am at Lardo. Look forward to an amazing food menu, drink specials, a beer float, special Upright/Double Mountain Beer Cocktail and prizes and giveaways. No entry fees, just a casual celebration of great beer and great food!

Double Mountain Drafts:

MAN DOWN! “Double India Brown Rye”: Another installment from the twisted minds of our intrepid brew staff, two of whom have been on the rack with sports-related injuries. This big old tasty hybrid of a beer features unique minty notes from the rye malt, rich chocolatey character from roasted malts, and an onslaught of hop aroma delivered by a pound of dry hops for every keg.  Big, bold and injury-prone. 8.2% ABV, 85 BU

FORMIDABLE Belgian Imperial Stout:  Heads up, this is a beer to be reckoned with. Over 2,000lb of fermentables yielded our strongest wort to date. Two Belgian ale yeasts combine to deliver a nuanced fermentation profile; five specialty malts and a big hop charge deliver sweetness, roast and hoppy bitterness in huge amounts. “C’est formidable, eh?” 11.9% ABV, 90 BU

KÖLSCH German-Style Ale: In Cologne, many a brewery produces a light-bodied ale with a delicate fruitiness and rounded maltiness, courtesy of a unique yeast strain. Our Kölsch is unfiltered and more generously hopped than its German cousin. 5.2% ABV, 40 BU

Plus on tap from Upright Brewing: Seven, Gruit, Four & Alt

  2. Talk about scary draft beer. Maybe you should sell the recipe to bars in east london; they'd love a new stout to taste.

  3. I will try this out next month but for now I am following a diet plan meant for curing my sickness. The Formidable Float seems like a really good dessert!

  4. Will try the burger with fries and the fudge drink they've got here. It just looks so delicious and yummy that I can't resist trying it out myself.
