Meet the New Rosenstadt Brewery at Roscoe’s

Rosenstadt beer

One of The New School’s new brewery openings to watch before the end of 2015, Rosenstadt Brewery now has two German-style beers available in the Portland area. From homebrewers Nick Greiner and real, actually-moved-here-from-Germany German Tobias Hahn. These guys are brewing with all German ingredients and focusing on a traditional Kolsch and a German Pale Ale; you can try them both and meet the brewers/owners on Wednesday, October 7th, 2015 at 6pm at Roscoe’s in SE Portland.

Rosenstadt Brewing is producing its beers at Max’s Fanno Creek brewpub in Tigard, and having tried the first batch of Kolsch, I have to say it was pretty spot on. I look forward to trying the German interpretation of a pale ale.

Rosenstadt German Pale Ale

Our take on West Coast Pale Ale, with an intriguing hop profile provided by the new hop varieties Mandarina Bavaria and Polaris. Pilsner, Munich and Caramel malts impart a fullness of body that balances clean, intense bitterness with notes of citrus and mint. 13° Plato; 5.1% ABV; 50 IBU
