Stone Brewing’s Mitch Steele Resigns After 10 Years

In a video released to Stone Brewing’s YouTube page, Brewmaster Mitch Steele announces he is leaving the company after 10 years and recounts his time there and reminsces, even getting teared up. Steele wrote the book on IPA and is one of the most well respected brewmasters in the world. He leaves to take part in a new project by some brewing insiders, though details are not yet available. The video is worth watching, even if you already know what he is going to say.

Founder of The New School and most frequent contributor Ezra Johnson-Greenough has worked in the craft beer industry for almost 10 years, doing everything from illustrating beer labels to bartending at renowned beer bars and breweries like Belmont Station, Apex, Laurelwood and Upright Brewing. He has also had a hand in creating events like the Portland Fruit Beer Festival, Portland Beer Week, and the Brewing up Cocktails series.
