The Slabtown brewpub features a custom-designed 10 barrel system from JV Northwest (Canby, OR). The brewery includes a 3 vessel brewhouse, 2 10-barrel fermenters, 3 20-barrel fermenters, and six serving tanks (3 x 10 barrel and 3 x 20 barrel).

Will Jaquiss, previously Breakside’s R & D brewer turning out brews at the original 3 barrel basement brewpub will take the reigns at the new Slabtown brewery. Joining Will will be longtime Breakside bartender turned brewer Tom Fischer, one of Breakside’s longest tenured employees he turned his attentions to brewing in 2014.

Brewmaster Ben Edmunds and Director of Brewing Operations Jacob Leonard will work closely with Will and Tom on developing Slabtown exclusive hop-forward beers. The Slabtown brewery will effectively serve as Breakside’s “hop lab” with a full range of styles coming from the other two Breakside breweries to fill the new pub’s taps.

Is Will Jaquiss becoming royalty to reign over the new establishment or is he simply taking the reins of the operation?
