Breakside India Golden Ale Release and a Beer Dinner

Breakside Brewery has two big events this week. Tuesday the Portland and Milwaukie-based brewery celebrates the release of India Golden Ale double IPA and Wednesday it hosts a beer dinner in Eugene at The Bier Stein.

The promise of spring returns with the release of Breakside’s India Golden Ale at Bridgetown Beerhouse.

This “golden double IPA” is the lightest, hoppiest beer you’ll ever taste! India Golden Ale or “IGA” highlights the route that lots of new hop bombs are headed: light in body, lighter in color, and HUGE in citrus flavor and aroma. The Mosaic hops give this beer a bright mix of stonefruit and tropical flavors along with a big piney backbone; while the fruity Eldorado hops soften the finish. The malt bill is kept incredibly simple to allow the hops to take center stage in this elegant and refreshing beer.

IN addition to IGA bottles for purchase to-go we will have our fan favorite seasonal IGA on tap alongside Rainbows & Unicorns session IPA.

We are thrilled to announce a collaborative beer dinner with Breakside Brewery! Fans are likely familiar with their GABF Gold-medal winning IPA among the other award-winning beers in their repertoire. Well, we couldn’t have done a Breakside dinner without the IPA– however, this beer dinner focuses more on those that don’t have as far of a reach. You may not know that Breakside maintains two separate barrel-aging rooms at its Milwaukie production facility (one “clean,” one wild), and has a catalog of beer from which to create some pretty spirited blends. We had a great time tasting and brainstorming with the crew in Portland, and think you’ll enjoy the dishes we’ve created to complement and enhance these lovely beers.

    I think the date for the beer dinner is incorrectly stated in the article. It says April 16, but that isn’t a Wednesday.
