Alesong Brewing Announces Grand Opening of New Tasting Room

By  |

Alesong Brewing & Blending, the farmhouse brewery project of Matt van Wyk and Doug and Brian Coombs, has announced the grand opening of its new country estate tasting room. The opening will also celebrate the brewery’s one year anniversary next weekend, July 22nd, will feature a full lineup of Alesong beers and the release of a special anniversary beer, food trucks, and live music at the newly completed facility outside of Eugene.

The celebration takes place Saturday, July 22nd from 12 – 8 p.m. at 80848 Territorial Highway in the heart of Southern Willamette Valley wine country. The new facility will function as both a brewery and tasting room, with a production area dedicated to fermenting, barrel-aging and blending, and a tasting room area and expansive patio dedicated to enjoying Alesong beer and the surrounding views.

More from the press release:

“The dream since we all came together to start Alesong has been to have a brewery in the country, inspired by the farmhouse breweries of the old world – somewhere we can brew beer that reflects this little piece of the Willamette Valley,” says cofounder Doug Coombs.  “And on top of that, we are thrilled to spend more time out here, sharing our beers and vision with the community while looking at this beautiful view!”

THE NEW FACILITY – located at 80848 Territorial Highway, 20 miles southwest of Eugene – allows Alesong to open its doors to the public on a regular basis, initially Friday through Sunday from 12 – 8 p.m. Beers will be available for tasting and to enjoy by the glass, and bottles will be available for on-site consumption and to-go depending upon availability. Light food will be served and customers are also invited to bring their own picnics.

GRAND OPENING DETAILS: The celebration takes place from 12 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 22nd at Alesong’s new brewery and tasting room at 80848 Territorial Highway. Alesong will have 8 beers on tap and more in bottle for consumption that day and to go.  Live music and food carts will be on-site.

ANNIVERSARY DOUBLE IPA: To accompany this grand opening, Alesong is also celebrating its first anniversary and is releasing a special anniversary double IPA to its mailing list, a fun (and temporary) departure from their typical production styles.  For more information and to join alesong’s mailing list: alesongbrewing.com/join.

ABOUT ALESONG BREWING AND BLENDING: Alesong Brewing and Blending is a small artisan brewery based in the heart of Southern Willamette Valley wine country that crafts unique and small-batch beers with a focus on oak aging and Belgian-inspired techniques, brewing both wild and non-wild beers, using locally grown fruits, herbs and a host of special yeasts and other microbes.  Once the beer in the barrels has matured, the team samples and selects each barrel individually to blend. Paying homage to old-world Lambic blenders and artisan winemakers, Alesong believes that the final, balanced blend of a barrel-aged beer is much more satisfying than the sum of its parts or each individual barrel by itself.
