By  |

Northwest Portland’s Kells Brewery is putting its beer in cans for the first time, starting out with Kells IPA in 12oz cans and 6-packs. The brewery will release cans at 6pm at the brewery on September 14th at 210 NW 21st Ave. Select distribution to area bottle shops and grocery stores will take place later this month.

More from a press release:

Kells is marking the occasion with a “Golden Ticket” release party, which will take place at the brewery on Sept. 14 from 6pm to 8pm. Six-packs will be available for sale at special pricing, and three of the packs sold will contain a Golden Ticket, redeemable for dinner for two (up to $50) and a private brewery tour.

Golden blonde in color, Kells IPA features a juicy personality, highlighted by aromas of ripe melon and fresh peeled citrus; it comes in at 6.7% ABV. Kells IPA is one of eight year-round styles for Kells, and is also available in 500ml bottles and on draught.
