Walking Man Brewing’s Hoptoberfest Benefits Stevenson Fire Association

By  |

Walking Man Brewing in Stevenson, Washington, is hosting its 15th Annual Hoptoberfest on September 9th. This year’s festival will benefit the Stevenson Fire Association, which is timely considering Walking Man is located in the gorge near the Eagle Creek Fire that is currently burning around Cascade Locks. The event will run noon to 10pm on Saturday, September 9th, and is free for all ages, with a suggested donation of $5 to benefit the Stevenson Fire Association.

More from a press release:

Walking Man’s Hoptoberfest will feature their award winning brews, Aniche Cellars Wines and Jester & Judge Cider.  Food vendors Gorge Grub, Pork Wind & Fire and FlavorLab Gelato will also be inside the festival tent.  Additonal food from the Walking Man kitchen will be available in the brewpub.

“Hoptoberfest began as a community event with a philanthropic purpose.  This year’s festival is dedicated to the courage and honor of all fire fighters and volunteers that work tirelessly to save and protect our lands. We are grateful to the Stevenson Fire Association for saving our building in 2014 and to say thank you are dedicating proceeds from Hoptobefest 2017 to them,” said Bob Craig, founder and co-owner of Walking Man Brewing.

Live music will kick off at noon and entertian all day on two stages with the precussive African beats of Boka Marimba (http://bokamarimba.com) finishing out the night from 7:30-10 p.m. Lawn games will provide fun for the whole family. Dogs are welcomed at the brewpub, although not permitted to enter the festival tent.

A full line up of Walking Man favorites will be available in the tent or brewpub including: Walking Man IPA, Homo Erecutus Imperial IPA, Cherry Stout, Knuckle Dragger IPA, Flip Flop Pilsner, Golden Gait Belgian Pale Ale, Ramblin’ Raspberry Wheat and Pale Strider Single Hop Mosaic Pale.  Walking Man’s Hoptoberfest Ale will be released the day of the event.
