The Upper Lip & Bit House Saloon explore Cider and Beer Cocktails

By  |

Bailey’s Taproom has announced a new event at their The Upper Lip space called Heads & Tails – a special event exploring the pairing possibilities amongst beer & cider with spirits. The new tasting, mixing, pairing event teams Upper Lip staff with guest bartenders from southeast Portland’s acclaimed Bit House Salon. JP & Jimmy from Bit House will be mixing up three spirits from Beam Suntory with four beers and two ciders.

More from a press release:

Utilizing the diverse catalogs of both General Distributors & NW Ciderbrokers, the menu will highlight the combination of beer/cider with spirits made into creative cocktails. The other half of the menu will feature pairings, side by side, to show the diversity of these beverages outside of their normal context.

Since liquor service is uncharted territory for The Upper Lip, we’ll also feature a short menu of bites to help soak up those lovely libations. Expect inventive sandwiches and toasts with local, fresh, and foraged ingredients.

Admission is free and the event will be held from 6-10pm on Thursday, November 16th.

Featuring:

Beers from Sunriver, Flat Tail, Melvin, and Modern Times (GDI)

Ciders from Baird & Dewar and Carlton Ciderworks (NW Ciderbrokers)

Spirits from Beam Suntory.

Bartenders from Bit House Saloon, JP & Jimmy.

Food by Bailey’s Taproom/The Upper Lip’s Sasha Clement.
