Fort George and Finnriver present 5th annual Beer Cider Love

The 5th annual Beer Cider Love event presented by Fort George Brewery and Finnriver Farm & Cidery returns Tuesday, February 13th 5:30-7:30pm at the great Cheese Bar in southeast Portland.

 

Fort George’s Tim Ensign and Finnriver’s Jana Daisy-Ensign celebrate artisan sips and bites at their fifth annual Beer Cider Love event. Enjoy complimentary tasting, stay for a draft pint or glass pour paired with cut to order cheese or custom curate your special selections to go. Cheese Bar is located at 6031 SE Belmont Street, Portland, OR 97215.

Finnriver is certified Salmon Safe and a certified B corporation, sourcing organic apples from across Washington state and growing their own organic orchard of over 5,500 trees, with 20 varieties of heirloom and traditional cider apple varieties. Finnriver aspires to serve the land with cider, by caring for soils, watershed and community while crafting award-winning premium ciders.

 

Cheese Bar

Cheese Bar is a nationally-recognized, cut-to-order retail cheese counter with a rotating selection of more than 200 cheeses sourced locally and from around the world. Cheese Bar also offers a seasonal menu of prepared food, with a strong focus on local and regional with an extensive beer, wine, and cider list (for consumption at the shop or to go), with beverages intentionally selected to compliment food pairings. Cheese Bar works directly with many cheesemakers and other artisan food and beverage producers and highly values these relationships.

 

Founder of The New School and most frequent contributor Ezra Johnson-Greenough has worked in the craft beer industry for almost 10 years, doing everything from illustrating beer labels to bartending at renowned beer bars and breweries like Belmont Station, Apex, Laurelwood and Upright Brewing. He has also had a hand in creating events like the Portland Fruit Beer Festival, Portland Beer Week, and the Brewing up Cocktails series.
