This Thursday, September 25th, The Hop & Vine presents Take Me to the River: A Rare, International Style Cider Tapping from Finnriver Farm & Cidery.

From 6-9pm, Thursday Sept 25th at The Hop & Vine at 1914 N Killingsworth St, Portland, OR 97217, Finnriver Farm & Cidery presents specialty draft releases including a Sidra Spanish-style cider and a Belgian Abbey-style cider made with a traditional Belgian ale yeast. In addition to these limited release offerings, Finnriver’s Frontier-style Farmstead Cider and award winning Port-style Spirited Apple Wine will be included to showcase a breadth of flavors from our own growing Pacific Northwest cider tradition.

The Hop & Vine is North Portland’s premier craft drinking destination. The full bar features eight craft beer taps, an extensive wine list, creative cocktails and a local seasonal food menu. The adjacent Bottleshop features more than 400 beers and wines, and over 40 types of vermouths and bitters.

Finnriver Farm & Cidery is an organic family farm and an artisan winery producing handcrafted hard ciders and fruit wines, farming and fermenting on 33 acres along a restored salmon stream south of Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington. Finnriver is certified salmon safe and committed to wise land stewardship through organic agriculture, conservation easements, habitat restoration and community outreach.

Founder of The New School and most frequent contributor Ezra Johnson-Greenough has worked in the craft beer industry for almost 10 years, doing everything from illustrating beer labels to bartending at renowned beer bars and breweries like Belmont Station, Apex, Laurelwood and Upright Brewing. He has also had a hand in creating events like the Portland Fruit Beer Festival, Portland Beer Week, and the Brewing up Cocktails series.
