The Growlers Guys SE Portland now filling Crowlers

Growler Guys Crowler can

With new Crowler technology bars and growler fill stations can now can their fresh draft beer on-site for you to take home, The Growler Guys in SE Portland’s Grand Central Bowl building have recently installed one. This is only the 2nd Crowler machine in town (the first being Bailey’s Taproom) that I know of.

Here is a brief rundown on how The Growler Guys are filling Crowlers:

-Customers get a customized 32oz can of craft beer, cider or kombucha
-Customers choose from our tap list (all 48 taps available + kombucha)
-We rinse, CO2 purge and bottom-fill the can just as we do a growler
-With the beer filled to the very top, we put on a lid and put it on the crowler machine
-The crowler machine seals the can on-the-spot & customers head home with their personalized can

I guess its not “in town” but Oregon City Brewing also has a crowler set up. I’ve tried one from them, also one from Baileys and both tasted fresh a week later.

The last time I was in Bend for Cruxapalooza I stopped by Atlas Cider, who had their Crowler machine on display.
