Portland, Oregon’s Gigantic Brewing is releasing its hard-rockingest beer yet with Brain Damage barrel-aged Quadruple going on sale in bottles this Thursday September 3rd. Gigantic’s Ben Love writing about their new beer says, “The label was done by Nychos, an awesome urban art and graffiti illustrator from Vienna, Austria.” It is indeed colorful and T-shirt worthy; it’s also a very rare BREWERY ONLY bottle release of 120 cases for $20 a bottle.
BRAIN DAMAGE Description:
What began as a Belgian-Style Quadruple was aged in bourbon and pinot noir barrels for over 2 years. The resulting liquid is lusciously rich, with caramelized sugar, bready and biscuit malt, subtle cherry, vanilla and oak – some might say resembling port.
Since he began 12 years ago, Austrian urban art and graffiti illustrator Nychos has been an integral part of the international art scene. In addition to founding the art collective RABBIT EYE MOVEMENT in 2005, he is internationally recognized for his outstanding murals throughout the world, as well as solo gallery exhibitions. Nychos is also part of international graffiti and urban illustration “The Lords” and “The Weird” who have also received international acclaim for their signature styles.
