16 Tons Pumpkin Ale Week with Halloween Candy and Beer Pairings

Our buds at 16 Tons Taphouse in Eugene kick off Pumpkin Ale Week with help from friends Ninkasi, Red Wagon Creamery, Theo Chocolate, and Jelly Belly. The week is made up of more than just pumpkin beer tappings; there will also be daily Halloween candy and beer pairings, and the week caps off with a Halloween beard and mustache party. Here are the deets.

At 5pm on Monday October 26th, 16 Tons Taphouse at 265 E 13th Avenue kicks off PUMPKIN ALE WEEK! Pumpkin puree, roasted pumpkin, smoked pumpkin and pumpkin spices are fun additions to Craft Beer recipes. These flavors lend depth and enhance the feeling of Fall to your glass. Each day of the week 16 Tons will tap a unique pumpkin flavored beer including specialties from Ninkasi, Oakshire and other local brewers. The rest of the week we will have some tasty candy and ice cream beer pairings that will scare your taste buds in the most delightful way.

Tuesday at 5pm: Classic Halloween Candy:

– Smarties & Sour Red Ale

– Candy Corn & Belgian Style Wit

– Snickers & Chocolate Porter

– Starburst & Pale Ale

Wednesday at 5pm: Theo Chocolates

– Dark Chocolate w/ Coffee & Chocolate Pumpkin Porter

– Dark Cherry Almond & Sour Red Ale

– Chocolate Ginger & Ninkasi Pumpkin Sleigh’r

– Sea Salt & Smoked Imperial Porter

Thursday at 5pm: Jelly Belly pairing:

– Pineapple Jelly Beans & Saison

– Caramel Corn Jelly Beans & Scotch Ale

– Neon Sour Worms & Imperial IPA

– Rootbeer Jelly Beans & Gose

Friday at 5pm: Ice Cream Beer Floats!

To cap off the week, 16 Tons will host it’s 2nd Annual RELEASE OF THE DARK ALES festival on Saturday from 4-11pm featuring many imperial stouts, porters and darkest of dark beers. Many infused with pumpkin, chocolate, bourbon and other bold flavors. Celebrate Halloween with a beard and mustache masquerade!
