Bailey’s Taproom Opening New ‘Brewed in Oregon’ Merchandise Store

OLCC building plans show the relation of Brewed in Oregon to Bailey’s Taproom

Bailey’s Taproom in downtown Portland is expanding by taking over the former 360 Vinyl shop down the short alley of SW Ankeny from the well-established beer bar and will open ‘Brewed in Oregon.’ The news was reported in Willamette Week yesterday as a bottleshop, but owner Geoff Phillips says, “I would not call it a bottleshop.”

So what is the upcoming Brewed in Oregon store taking up residence at 214 SW 8th? It’s more of a brewery branded clothing and merchandise shop that will have a few beers to sell for off premises consumption. “Brewed in Oregon” by Bailey’s Taproom will offer Oregon brewery branded merchandise,” said Geoff Phillips.

The space was formerly occupied by 360 Vinyl, a favorite of the hip-hop community that closed down in late 2014. With Santeria across the alley serving Bailey’s late night food and now the taproom and new Brewed in Oregon, store Baileys practically controls the alley except for hold-out Tugboat Brewing Company.

Brewed in Oregon is planning for an April 2016 opening and will operate from noon to 8pm Monday through Saturday.
