Beergarden Hosts the Second Annual Eugene Brews, Blues & Chowder Fest

Lompoc Brewing is not the only ones with a Chowder Fest, in Eugene, Oregon, one of the state’s best new taphouses/beer bars Beergarden is hosting their 2nd annual Eugene Brews, Blues & Chowder Fest this weekend. Previously held at The Tap & Growler, the festival has been moved to Beergarden to accommodate the demand for the event this Friday January 22nd through Sunday the 24th, 2016.

2016 Brews, Blues and Chowder Fest

Several house made chowders will be on tap all day, with at least one from each of the food trucks on site. Each kitchen will have their own spin on chowder, as well as, featuring a variety of seafood based specials throughout the weekend. There will be wild caught Salmon Chowder and Crab Cakes from Sporks a la Cart, Clam Chowder and Crab Encrusted Pretzels from The Zingaro, and Hawaiian inspired Spam & Corn Chowder and Spam Musubi from Lani Moku. At least one truck will have a vegetarian Chowder as well.

There will be live Music on Friday evening featuring:

  • Matt Edewaard (recently on American Idol) from 5:00-6:00
  • Mark Slaymaker from 6:15-7:30
  • The Leftovers from 8:00-10:00

More live Blues on Saturday will be from 6:00-10:00 with music from:

  • Skip Jones from 6:00-7:00
  • Hank and Bill Shreve from 7:15 to 8:15
  • The Hank Shreve Band featuring Paul Biondi from 8:30 to 10:30.

Music on Sunday will be an Open Blues Jam beginning at 4:00 PM. You can sign up for a spot in the Open Blues Jam at events@beergardenme.com.

This event will feature beer from seven Oregon Coast breweries, including World Beer Cup & Great American Beer Fest medal winning brews. The breweries and their brews are:
