Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 2, Lompoc Brewing will be tapping the last keg of award-winning Bloody Mary Beer, named #7 in Willamette Week’s Top 10 Beers of 2015 and releasing a new vintage of Batch 69 Baltic Porter. Head Brewer Bryan Keilty taps that last lonely 1/6bbl of Bloody Mary Beer at 3pm at the Fifth Quadrant and Batch 69 at 4pm, around the corner in Lompoc’s Sidebar.
Conceived by head brewer Bryan Keitly, the Bloody Mary Beer is a golden ale aged for three weeks in stainless steel with tomatoes, lovage, sage, bay leaf, peppercorns, and dried chilies. It is an easy-drinking 5% ABV. The beer was made in 2015 in collaboration with Seattle executive chef Brian Scheehser for a brewer’s dinner at Trellis, his restaurant at the Heathman Hotel in Kirkland, WA. The tomatoes used came from Scheehser’s backyard garden. The Bloody Mary Beer will be sold in 8 oz snifters only at the Fifth Quadrant, located at 3901 N Williams Ave.
