94.7 KNRK and Alameda Brewing Introduce Alternator IPA Cans

Alameda Brewing has teamed up with local alternative rock radio station 94.7 KNRK to introduce Alternator IPA on draft and in cans. A portion of sales from every Alternator IPA sold will be given to the Surfrider Foundation Portland chapter that helps keep our local beaches, rivers, and streams clean. Alternator IPA is a tropical session IPA available beginning in May.

More from the press release: Surfrider plays an integral part in helping Oregon’s beautiful beaches. That’s why 94/7 Alternative Portland is proud to donate a portion of each sale to Surfrider Foundation in order to support their efforts in portecting our oceans, beaches and waves.
For this beach-inspired beer, Alameda brewed a sessionable IPA ideal for epic weather-it’s a light-bodied ale with huge tropical hop flavor. Alternator IPA is hopped with Bravo, Chinook, Cacade, and 0207 experimental hops.
“After years of saying “It’s Different Here,” we can finally say, “It’s Different Beer!” Program Director Mark Hamilton joked. “But seriously, we’re thrilled to offer this new refreshing IPA to the microbrew connoisseurs of Portland and help a great organization like Surfrider in the process.”The Alternator will be available in blue cans starting in May at select Fred Meyer retailers in the greater Portland Metro area, and it’s already on tap right now at the Alameda Brewhouse, located at 4765 NE Fremont Street in Portland.
