Former Oakshire Brewmaster Matt van Wyk and partners Brian and Doug Coombs new Alesong Brewing & Blending is making its Eugene debut at The Bier Stein on Tuesday, May 31st. If you can’t make it to Eugene, Matt van Wyk and Alesong will also be at The New School’s New Oregon Breweries Showcase on Monday, June 13th, at Bailey’s Taproom as part of Portland Beer Week.

The Bier Stein will host a public Alesong tasting in the front and a Back Bar beer pairing dinner featuring Alesong & Friends in the back half of the pub/bottleshop. Those “friends” are limited edition beers from Block 15, Crooked Stave, and Breakside. The guest beers were chosen to represent the range of beers Alesong will be releasing in the future; the beers run the gamut of styles from clean to sour, bright to dark.
