VIDEO: Brewery Puts Formerly Feral Cats to Work

By  |

Here is a different kind of cat video I found on the internets I thought some would enjoy, it’s on the cats of Chicago’s North Side Brewery. The feral feline staff keep the rats away in a city that apparently has the worst rat problem in the country.

This video is certainly “interesting” but inviting animals into brewing facilities flies in the face of Good Manufacturing Practices mandated by the Food Safety Modernization Act. Brewers need to realize they are working in food processing plants and comply with FDA regulations. Consult the Brewers Association and/or Master Brewers Association website for details of what the law requires and forbids.
