This Sunday marks the return of BenFest! In its 6th year, the event marks an unofficial end to Oregon Craft Beer Month. This year’s BenFest will be held at Roscoe’s from 2pm to 6pm, with all seven local brewers named Ben in attendance. If you don’t get BenFest, we can only explain that it’s a semi-legit event that brings together seven local head brewers all coincidentally named Ben. They each often make special beers for the event, and are always in attendance.

The list of participants are: Ben Dobler of Mt Tabor Brewing, Ben Edmunds of Breakside Brewing, Ben Engler of Occidental Brewing, Ben Kehs of Deschutes Brewery, Ben Love, Ben Flerschinger and Ben L’Etoile of Gigantic, and Ben Parsons of Baerlic Brewing.

The six special beers this year are:

Ben Dobler – Mt Tabor
Benny-rita

Ben Edmunds – Breakside
Definitely, Ben
Collaboration with Wayfinder: an extremely hoppy wheat beer that looks like an Oregon-brewed hefeweizen and tastes and smells like a new world IPA. We’re not sure exactly how to classify this beer, but we know for sure that it is Definitely Not an IPA.
