The Yard–a huge new development at Northeast 3rd Ave and Burnside in Portland, aka that enormous new building adjacent to the Burnside Bridge–will be the home to new brewery taproom FERMENT. Owner/Brewer Dan Peterson and his wife Jennifer hope to open Ferment this fall as a beer lounge on the 5th floor mezzanine level of The Yard. Ferment is one of our Most Anticipated Openings of 2016 and we first previewed it in April

“The Ferment spot will be located on the east side of the mezzanine level in YARD… facing the up-sloping garden space,” says Dan Peterson.

The proof was in the window all along, the digital image of The Yard from their official website photo gallery (seen above) shows a room full of barrels and a mezzanine and if you look closely you can see the logo for FERMENT.

FERMENT is currently guest brewing beers at the newly operational Zoiglhaus Brewery in Southeast Portland, but has a lease on a space in Hood River for its own production brewery. Dan Peterson will brew the beer in Hood River and operate the taproom in NE Portland. Dan was previously the head brewer at beloved Hood River brewery pFriem Family Brewers.
