Good news for people who like good news: Midwest beer fans rejoice, because Founders Brewing Co. has announced its is expanding distribution to include Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Partnering with the Great Artisan Beverage network of wholesalers (that would be General Distributing in Portland), we can look forward to seeing Founders beer in February 2017 in Oregon, while Washington will begin receiving shipments in January. Founders’ year-round, seasonal, and specialty beers in bottles (maybe we can finally get some Kentucky Breakfast Stout), cans, and kegs will be available. Select limited release beers may also be available at craft retailers following the launch.

Washington distribution will be handled by The Odom Corporation, Craig Stein Beverage, Sound Beverage, Crown Distributing, and Marine View Beverage, with coverage extending throughout the entire state.

“The Great Artisan Beverage network of independent distributors is very proud to represent the Founders brand family in the Pacific Northwest,” said Great Artisan Beverage President Dave Mickelson. “Founder’s legacy, based firmly in product quality, innovation and commitment to market success, is a winning formula and we are honored to be chosen as their distributor partners.”

Following on the heels of the Washington launch beginning in February 2017 will be Oregon and Idaho, with distribution partners General Distributors, Bigfoot Beverage, and Summit Distributing and in Idaho with distribution partners The Odom Corporation and Craig Stein Beverage.

“The Pacific Northwest has long been one of the craft industry’s most sacred regions,” says Co-Founder and CEO Mike Stevens. “It was westward that Dave and I traveled in our discovery of craft beers some 25 years ago and we have long anticipated the day that Founders would be sold in this region. Simply put, it’s one of the country’s best craft beer beacons and we are humbled to be able to bring our beer to the consumers of the Pacific Northwest.”
