There are three reasons to travel to the far-off reaches of NoPo and visit the sleepy St. Johns neighborhood of Portland this Saturda,y with some festivities running all weekend. We already wrote about the St. Johns Winter Beer Fest that is happening this weekend, but also Occidental Brewing is throwing its annual Humbug Lager Fest and bottleshop and taproom Hoplandia is celebrating its first anniversary.
Humbug Lager Fest
Saturday, December 10th Noon – 9pm 21+
6635 N Baltimore Ave, Portland, OR 97203
Winter and lager dont often go together, except for when Occidental Brewing hosts its annual Humbug Lager Fest this Saturday. This year the North Portland brewery has expanded to include even more breweries from Portland and beyond, reflecting a wide range of breweries and light to dark styles of lagers.
As usual, Urban German Grill will be on site serving up traditional German fare.
The event will take place indoors in the Occidental taproom and adjoining spaces which will be decorated with a tree and plenty of festive lights!
Admission: $10 will get you a logo taster glass along with six tokens for samples. Samples are 4oz each. If you go through your six tasters and would like more it is $5 for four more additional tokens.
If you’ve sampled a beer you really loved we will be pouring full pints as well which will be four tokens.
If you bring a can of a non-perishable food item you will recieve one extra token with your initial purchase of glass and tokens!
Logo taster glasses will be on sale for $3 each if you’d just like a glass.
This event is 21+
Ugly holiday sweaters are encouraged but not required.
