Bell’s Hopslam and Two Hearted Ale Coming to Oregon

Bell's-Hopslam-and-Two-Hearted-cans-in-Portland

Get excited, Midwesterners, because Bell’s Brewery’s new release of Hopslam Double IPA and classic Two Hearted Ale will be available in cans and on draft in the Portland-area starting this January 23rd, 2017. Bell’s Brewery is, of course, the brewing pioneer of Michigan, the 7th largest craft brewery in the country, and a brewery that has been able to remain relevant and beloved by fans across the country. It’s rare we see Bell’s beer available in Oregon, though it is now popping up sometimes, as it did during PDX Beer Week. Look for draft and cans beginning January 23rd at Belmont Station, as well as most of the best bottleshops in the Portland-area.

Hopslam

Starting with six different hop varietals added to the brew kettle & culminating with a massive dry-hop addition of Simcoe hops, Bell’s Hopslam Ale possesses the most complex hopping schedule in the Bell’s repertoire.

Selected specifically because of their aromatic qualities, these Pacific Northwest varieties contribute a pungent blend of grapefruit, stone fruit and floral notes. A generous malt bill and a solid dollop of honey provide just enough body to keep the balance in check, resulting in a remarkably drinkable rendition of the Double India Pale Ale style.

Hopslam is best enjoyed as fresh as possible.

Brewed with 100% Centennial hops from the Pacific Northwest and named after the Two Hearted River in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, this IPA is bursting with hop aromas ranging from pine to grapefruit from massive hop additions in both the kettle and the fermenter.

Perfectly balanced with a malt backbone and combined with the signature fruity aromas of Bell’s house yeast, this beer is remarkably drinkable and well suited for adventures everywhere.

Hey there. Was curious if you knew who was the distributor for Bell’s when they arrive?
