Modern Times Beer Launches Oregon Distribution Through General Distributors

The news fans of San Diego’s Modern Times Beer Co. have been waiting for is here–the brewery will begin Oregon distribution to the Portland market through General Distributors in March of 2017. In addition to great beers on draft and in 16oz cans, Modern Times makes great coffee and great coffee beer. Look for Modern Times to make its debut in Portland the week of March 6th, and members of the brewery will be in town March 8-11th to host TBA launch parties.

GDI COO, Steve “Tiny” Irwin: “We are honored to introduce Modern Times to the Portland Market. It’s been almost a year to the day that Jacob and I first met and was introduced to their mind blowing beers. The whole lineup is stellar and is a perfect fit for the GDI portfolio. Portland is fortunate to now have access to these beers.”

According to the announcement, Modern Times has had its eye on our region for quite some time due to our world class beer culture and brewing scene. They found the right partner in the quickly growing General Distributors (GDI).

Modern Times CEO & Founder, Jacob McKean: “We’re stoked out of our frickin’ gourds to begin distributing in Oregon. From its innumerable kickass brewers to its world class bars and restaurants to the outstandingly dank hops grown in the Willamette Valley, Oregon is one of the best places for beer and brewing on the planet, and we’re thrilled to have a totally plausible sounding business justification for visiting more often. We’re sending our rarest and most drool-worthy beers–most of which have never left our tasting room–to Oregon for our launch week events, so it’ll be super fun to party with our patient fans up there. This is truly the start of something beautiful.”

Loof for Modern Times award-winning portfolio of complex, flavorful, and often style-bending beers including Black House Coffee Stout, Lomaland Saison, Fruitlands Fruited Gose, Blazing World Hoppy Amber, and more in cans, bottles, and draft throughout General Distributors’ territory.
