BeerBuzz.TV Showcases Oregon Craft Beer Entrepreneurs

Portland is home to a new web show called BeerBuzz.TV, hosted and produced by local Elizabeth “Liz” Dall. Two episodes have been released in BeerBuzz’s pilot six-episode first season, the first with Breakside founder Scott Lawrence and the 2nd with The Commons Brewery’s Mike Wright. Upcoming episodes will be released weekly with Gigantic Brewing, Alesong Brewing & Blending, Wolves and People Farmhouse Brewery and Flat Tail Brewing rounding out the rest of the first six episodes.

Elizabeth Dall comes to Beer Buzz TV with a background in creative agencies, marketing and tech companies in the Fortune 500. It’s all that creative work, including recent experience in the beer industry, that Liz says, “reminded me that so many of us sit at desks in cubicles and daydream about owning a brewery some day— as if it is easy, fun, and glamorous.”

BeerBuzz.TV brings you behind the scenes and face-to-face with the people who make your favorite beers. Future episodes will continue to feature brewery owners and brewmasters on what it takes to make it work in the industry, with a fair bit of drinking along the way that leads to some buzzed TV interviews.

Liz says that “the craft beer brands that we’ve come to know and love (and drink a lot of) have all had incredibly challenging starts. And anyone who’s done a full brew day knows the amount of labor and janitorial tasks associated are no joke. Suddenly, that desk job seems kinda cushy.”

Feeling the urge to start her own business and share other creatives’ business stories, Liz gathered together other media and marketing pros to start and lined up friends/guests she had established relationships with.

“To start, I selected six breweries to interview who all have very different, sometimes outrageous, stories of how they got their start and the insane challenges they’ve navigated along their journey to success. We drink interviewee’s beer throughout the entire hour, so by the end we’re all buzzed and the stories get better and better,” says Liz.

Liz hopes that future episodes will inspire others and may gain a following that will allow them to take the show on the road and gain sponsors which will also increase production values.
