Cascade Brewing releases Sang Noir 2016 bottles and draft

Cascade Brewing has just released their sour Sang Noir 2016 project in both bottles and on draft. Sang Noir is currently available at the  Cascade Brewing Barrel House in Portland and the Raccoon Lodge in Beaverton, as well as through distribution channels.

Sang Noir is a blend of imperial red ales aged in bourbon and wine barrels for up to two years with Bing cherries. The darkest in Cascade’s series of “Sang” projects, Sang Noir features flavors of dark roast malts, bourbon, black cherries and port wine. It comes in at 10.1 percent alcohol by volume.

Sang Noir is a Tier Two offering; Cascade’s new bottles have distinct label styles for each of the three Cascade Brewing pricing tiers, with each label within the tier utilizing distinctive colors to clearly differentiate each beer. The tiers differ by the style of beer used in the product, the type ingredients contained within, the time aged in the barrels and types of barrels used.Cascade Brewing has two upcoming releases in September: One Way or Another, a collaboration with Bruery Terreux, which will release on Sept. 12; and Vitis Noble 2016, which will be available on Sept. 19.
