Gigantic Brewing releases Other Half collaboration ‘Powder Green Tuxedo IPA’ in Cans

As if you needed another reason to visit Gigantic Brewing, this Saturday 9/9/2017 is the 8th annual BenFest and the brewery has their new Other Half Brewing collaboration called “Powder Green Tuxedo IPA” now available in 16oz cans. Not only is this the first (and possibly last) Gigantic beer in cans but it’s also their first attempt at a hazy New England-style IPA and is a collaboration with buzzy NYC brewery Other Half who is known for that style.

Sam Richardson from Other Half traveled to Portland to brew the beer with Gigantic in August. Sam was raised in Portland, so the name is a nod to his “homecoming”.

Since this was first time Gigantic has made a New England style IPA, they knew the gods would look well upon them if they put it in a 16oz can. This may be the only can release ever from Gigantic.

The label artwork was designed by Paul Friedrich, a comic artist known for his characters Onion Head Monster and Hubie the Dead Cow.

There were 118 cases and 4 kegs packaged. Cans are available in 4 packs immediately at Gigantic, along with the draft.  A limited number of cases will be shipped to retailers in the Portland area next week.  Grab this one before it’s gone!

Powder Green Tuxedo IPA is loaded with juicy Callista, Citra and Crystal hops with plenty of wheat and oats tossed in.
7.5% abv. Released Friday September 8, 2017
