Lompoc Brewing is closing its longtime Hedge House Pub on SE Division Street in Portland. This is another in a recent streak of recent closures including the Widmer Brewpub, The Commons, and Amnesia Brewing. For those who don’t know, Hedge House was perhaps Lompoc’s best property, a pub in a 1912 craftsman-style bungalow house complete with grassy front yard and front porch for drinking on nice days. Sadly, it seems to be a victim of increased competition, rising rents, and bad weather combined with the lease being up for renewal.
