Migration Brewing Announces New Brewpub and Production Facility in Gresham

Migration Brewing, a northeast Portland staple of the city’s new wave of breweries that opened in 2010, is now expanding to a production facility and brewpub in Gresham. From humble brewpub beginnings at NE 28th and Glisan, Migration Brewing built up its own self-distribution business and popular taproom before finally beginning bottling in 2016 and recently signing distribution with Columbia Distributing. The new facility is 20,000 sq. ft., with 3,000 dedicated to a new brewpub and a new 20bbl brewhouse in the rest.

MIgration Brewing founders celebrate

“We are excited to become a vibrant part of the Gresham community while greatly expanding our product’s reach through packaging and draft sales,“ says Mike Branes, Migration’s Head Brewer, and Co-Owner. “We look forward to working with our distribution partner Columbia to provide consumers throughout Oregon, and Washington with more of Migration’s award wining beers!“

Migration’s new production facility will feature state of the art brewing equipment from Practical Fusion Fabricators, and a new high volume canning system.  The expanded beer program will include lagers, extensive barrel aging, and a steady stream of the company’s most popular distribution beers Straight Outta Portland IPA, and Patio Pale Ale.  Migration also looks forward to operating a second community oriented brewpub that will be geared towards families; featuring hand made pizzas, and other classic pub favorites.

The new production facility is scheduled to be operational in summer of 2018.  The current brewpub at 2828 NE Glisan St. in Portland is also in a long-term lease, and will remain open.
