Breweries in the Gorge Host 2nd Annual Holiday Hangover Festival

Breweries in the Gorge launched nearly 2 years ago as a guild-like group providing a support network for breweries located in the Columbia River Gorge. In its first year, the group launched a brewery passport in similar fashion to the Bend Ale Trail or Brewcouver, and hosted a unique winter festival called Holiday Hangover Fest. This year brings the 2nd annual festival with 2 new breweries joining the organization and making their debut at the fest.

Breweries in the Gorge post-holiday beer festival is not your typical beer festival.

Hood River, Oregon – January 6, 2018 – Breweries in the Gorge (B.I.G.) is offering the perfect cure for the post-holiday blues with their first annual Holiday Hangover Brew Fest in the heart of downtown Hood River. On January 27th, 2018 from 1 pm to 8 pm each brewery will be featuring a variety of beer, local food, music, and specialty and rare beer tappings throughout the day. B.I.G. is a one-of-a-kind non-profit organization that supports 13 independent breweries in Washington and Oregon on the banks of the Columbia River Gorge. This is not like your typical beer festival - it’s a relaxed, more intimate experience that allows guests to meet the brewers and sample their beers. This year’s Holiday Hangover will feature over 25 different beers from all 13 brewery members as well as a handful of breweries from the surrounding areas. Two new B.I.G. member breweries Dwinell Country Ales from Goldendale, WA, and soon-to-be Hood River, OR-based brewery Ferment Brewing will be making their Holiday Hangover debut at this year in addition to eleven returning members.“Last year, while I was in the process of opening my brewery, I attended the Holiday Hangover. While there, I was immediately struck but the strong sense of community among the Breweries in the Gorge. This year, I’m excited to pour beer alongside my fellow brewers."-Justin Leigh, owner, Dwinell Country Ales.Event Details:
