Portland Beer Industry Tackles Sexual Harassment at 2 Seminars

In light of recent accusations of sexual harassment in the industry, two different events are being held this month to address these issues and how breweries and businesses should best handle them.

Beer Industry Forum- Sexual Harassment

Monday, February 4th 6-8pm @ The Evergreen

In the age of the Me Too Movement certain issues and concerns are being brought to the forefront. Recently, within the beer industry a sexual harassment incident occurred where employees and an employer where affected and/or held accountable for their actions. All of this created a debate in which some were united and some were divided bringing to light that we need to educate and create certain standards. On Feburary 4th we have hired a state representative from the The Bureau of Labor and Industries to come give a presentation on sexual harassment at the Evergreen above Loyal Legion which is long over due in our industry. This will be an interactive forum that will last 2 hours. Area breweries will be donating beer and Lardo will be providing snacks for the function in which we will be accepting donations. There will be a designated tap at the Loyal Legion as well in which all profits from both will be donated to YWCA. Please feel free to bring your entire crew and anyone else interested even if they are not in the industry. ALL are welcomed!!!!! The Evergreen – 618 SE Alder St. Portland, OR 97214
