StormBreaker Brewing 5th Anniversary Celebration

StormBreaker Brewing has been one of the most successful new breweries to open in Portland in the last five years, so it’s time to celebrate that and more at the 5th Anniversary this Saturday, February 2nd. The all-day anniversary party will be held at Stormbreaker’s Mississippi Ave. location in N. Portland (the brewery opened a 2nd location in St. Johns last year) with special rare tappings, magic, special guests and axe throwing.

More from a press release:

We Got 5 On It IPA is the official Stormbreaker 5th anniversary beer and it’s all about their five-year mark as it was brewed with 555 lbs. of 5 different grains, 5 different hops, and 5 lbs. per barrel total hops.  They used 5 of their favorite hops (Citra, Falconers Flight, Mosaic, Vic Secret, and Wai-iti) to create this sumptuous West Coast meets Southern Hemisphere combination IPA that weighs in at 6.7% ABV and 62 IBU.

They will also be showcasing Barrel Aged Kilt by Death (Scotch Ale aged in Bull Run Single Malt Barrels for 17 months), as well as Gin Barrel Hazy Triple Double IPA, Rum Barrel Aged Pumpkin Pedaler, Single Malt Barrel Aged Pumpkin Pedaler, and Bourbon Barrel Aged Winter Coat.

And what would a party be without bringing back some of their favorite entertainers from years’ past. Randomly throughout the afternoon you can expect to see Mr. Statue standing around for photo ops, Alexander Master of Marvels strolling around the restaurant performing mystifying magic tricks, and of course Elvis. Yes, that Elvis! There will be plenty of raffles too!

They will also have Portland Axe Throwing out in the early evening with their mobile unit. This will give everyone an opportunity to see what all the fuss is about at their second location in St. Johns, which is now home to 4 permanent axe throwing lanes. (visit for more info)
