Using the same recipe, we brewed one batch at Aslan and one at Kulshan, with the intention of showcasing the unique approach that each brewery’s staff takes when crafting a beer. A smooth and easy drinking west coast IPA, Mountain Lion was a blast to create, and we hope you feel the same way about drinking it. FRIDAY | 04.26 Barleywood Squares and Greenwood Beer Release 6-8pm RooseveltBarleywood Squares is a beer-themed version of the hilarious 1965 game show, Hollywood Squares. Each square will be filled with a “BEERlebrity” and will be asked beer related questions by our host. The contestants then judge the truth of their answers to gain a square. The objective is to complete a line across, vertically, or diagonally or to score as many squares as possible. Join us as a contestant or just drink beer and watch the hilarity ensue. Dress in your favorite 60s fashions and meet BEERlebrities from Left Hand Brewing, Chuckanut, Aslan, Naked City, North Fork, Stones Throw, Boundary Bay, and of course, Kulshan! Founder of The New School and most frequent contributor Ezra Johnson-Greenough has worked in the craft beer industry for almost 10 years, doing everything from illustrating beer labels to bartending at renowned beer bars and breweries like Belmont Station, Apex, Laurelwood and Upright Brewing. He has also had a hand in creating events like the Portland Fruit Beer Festival, Portland Beer Week, and the Brewing up Cocktails series. He is available for freelance consultation in marketing, events, graphic design and branding.
