Portland Beer Week Kicks off with Mikkeller Brewing Pop-Up Debut

The 9th annual Portland Beer Week (June 7-16th) will kick off on Saturday, June 8th with a party celebrating the opening of the Mikkeller Brewing Pop-Up in the former Burnside Brewing Co. space. The kickoff party will showcase far more than Mikkeller beers, with an indoor/outdoor event with 10+ local brewers and Bauman's Cider and House Spirits offering extra liquid libations.

Mikkeller Brewing PDX Pop-Up has recently revealed they are bringing in celebrity/acclaimed chef Shaun King of Momofuku in Las Vegas. King will be firing up the kitchen for the first time at the Portland Beer Week Kickoff Party with his Japanese-inspired eats. Mikkeller has also brought in their own design team and will be redecorating the space and even painting a mural outside.

Mikkeller is bringing in a bunch of special beers to take over the inside taps for the kickoff party. Outside, more than a dozen booths will pepper the lot with 10+ local breweries, cider and spirits. Associate vendors Craft Brew Bouquet, GrowlerWerks and 1927 S'Mores will also be showcasing their products and slinging gooey delicious s'mores. Expect a DJ spinning tunes and double axe throwing lanes!

This 21+ only party runs 4-9pm and admission is only $15, with a special VIP Swag bag option for $25 that includes a bottle of the 2019 official beer week beer, a double dry-hopped sour IPA from Stormbreaker Brewing. Salt & Straw ice cream is throwing in a a buy-one-get-one karma card to use at any of their scoop shops. Get your tickets here.
