Seattle, Washington’s Urban Family Brewing is releasing two new beers in their Tessellate series of bottled, barrel-aged, mixed-culture sour ales this Saturday, December 14th. Bottles of Tessellate Series 3 and 4 are available primarily at the brewery.

Tessellate Series 3
Exploding with dark berries and a cherry pie nose, this full-bodied beer features funky notes of oak, a dry finish, and assertive acidity. Matured for 16 months in oak, and bottle conditioned it with brettanomyces for 3 months. 8.2% ABV.
Tessellate Series 4
Fuzzy peach, a punch of bright strawberry, oaky vanilla, and a touch of cinnamon. This beer will take you back to your childhood candy, while still managing to be dry and refreshing. Barrel aged for 12 months in French oak, and bottle conditioning for another 3 months with brettanomyces. 6.5% ABV.
Release Details: Bottle sales start at 12 noon on Saturday, December 14 in our taproom.

Founder of The New School and most frequent contributor Ezra Johnson-Greenough has worked in the craft beer industry for almost 10 years, doing everything from illustrating beer labels to bartending at renowned beer bars and breweries like Belmont Station, Apex, Laurelwood and Upright Brewing. He has also had a hand in creating events like the Portland Fruit Beer Festival, Portland Beer Week, and the Brewing up Cocktails series.
