Zwickelmania in the ‘Burbs

The annual brewery open-house/tour/tasting event – Zwickelmania – comes to the ‘burbs this Saturday with an extensive bus shuttle schedule between pubs in Hillsboro to Forest Grove. Saturday, February 15th will highlight breweries across the state, and is a great opportunity for visits to the ‘burbs and their quickly developing craft beer scene. Ten suburban west breweries and five taprooms are participating with meet-the-brewer events, beer samples and three free shuttle buses.

Jump on one of the buses at any of the bus stop locations. If coming from Portland or Hillsboro via the MAX, you can get off the MAX at the Orenco Station stop and take the short walk to Orenco Taphouse, where you can jump on one of the free shuttle buses sponsored by participating breweries and taprooms. The buses will visit each venue on average six times between 11 am and 4 pm, Saturday, February 15.

Brewers will be conducting tours at each brewery and providing special tastings off the “Zwickel,” right out of the fermenter. Participating taprooms will host a tap takeover for their brewery partners, with the brewers available to answer questions about their breweries and beers.

The bus schedule shows each venue and their associated brewery.

Please see the shuttle bus schedule for specific timing.
