Charles Porter is co-founder of Little Beast Brewing with his wife Brenda Crow. After earning his degree in Biology in college, he spent the next 25 years in the brewing industry in many capacities from running a brewery in a brewpub, then running brewing operations at Upland Brewing in Bloomington Indiana in the late nineties. After moving to Oregon in 2000 he worked at Deschutes Brewery and then Full Sail Brewing, honing his craft and learning the in’s and out’s of major craft beer production. An avid fan of Lambics and Gueze, he maintained his home brewing and experimenting with various yeast and bacteria. In 2003 he began to make distinct ‘wild’ and American-Belgo beers. In 2011 he was the founding brewer of Logsdon Farmhouse Ales with partner David Logsdon. Now, he lives in Portland, Oregon where you may find him enjoying a beer with his wife at their new pub, Little Beast Brewing Beer Garden on SE Division.
