Cider Summit Holiday Festival-To-Go Tasting Kits

Cider Summit Northwest’s is giving cider lovers something to look forward to this holiday season with Festival-To-Go Tasting Kits offering a carefully curated selection to every budget and taste. For the first time, each kit will contain an equal number of ciders from Oregon and Washington, representing the best of the Pacific Northwest. The festival is now taking orders through December 12th.

 

“This season’s kits offer an impressive selection of ciders made by some of Oregon and Washington’s most gifted craft cidermakers,” said Cider Summit founder and producer Alan Shapiro. “Any of these kits would make a thoughtful gift to friends, family and hosts, and these beautiful ciders are sure to add a touch of sparkling cheer to holiday gatherings and feasts.”

 

To complete the kits, participating cidermakers are producing short videos about their ciders, which will be available for viewing starting December 15 via the Cidercraft Magazine YouTube channel. An event guide with tasting notes will also be available on the Cider Summit NW website beginning on December 15.

 

The kits are offered at three price points, each with a unique assortment of Oregon and Washington ciders. Shoppers may opt to purchase a Cider Summit cooler bag at checkout, designed to fit six 19.2 oz cans. There is also an option to make a donation to the event beneficiary, the Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research.

 

NW Pommeau Kit ($99.50 + delivery option)

Includes four cider selections plus a pair of Cider Summit tasting glasses, as well as promotional merchandise provided by participating cidermakers. Selections include 2 Towns Marissimo, EZ Orchards Pomme, Alpenfire Rosy Pommeau and Liberty Widdershins Dessert Wine.

NW Harvest Kit ($54.50 + delivery option)

Features six cider selections plus a pair of Cider Summit tasting glasses, as well as promotional merchandise provided by participating cidermakers. Selections Include Apple Outlaw Imperial Winter Pear, Bauman’s French Bittersweet, Double Mountain Wickson Crab, Alma Dry, Greenwood Kingston Black and Ragged & Right Yarlington Mill.

Modern Styles kit ($29.50 + delivery option)

Includes eight selections along with promotional merchandise provided by participating cidermakers. Selections include Avid Vanilla Bean Pear, Portland Cider Crangerine, Reverend Nat’s Please Move West, Swift Blood Orange, Lost Giants Elderberry, One Tree Staycation, Tieton Cranberry and Washington Gold Golden Delicious.

Orders must be received by 11:59 pm on Sunday, December 12. The kits will be available for pick up starting Saturday, December 18. Shoppers can choose one of three convenient pickup locations at checkout: Road Beers PDX (NW Flanders)Portland Cider House (SE Hawthorne) or Portland Cider Pub (Clackamas). Shoppers in the Portland Metro and Vancouver areas may select delivery (December 20-21) for an additional $9.50 per kit. Greater Oregon delivery outside of the Portland Metro Area is available for $19.50 per kit. Orders outside of Oregon and Vancouver, WA may be placed via Press Then Press.
