StormBreaker Brewing announces Dry January specials with permanent Mocktail Menu and NA Sparkling Water

As part of its continual efforts to offer a variety of beverage options to meet all types of consumer beverage preferences, N. Portland’s StormBreaker Brewing, has announced the permanent addition of several new non-alcoholic beverages to its menu.

New Element Grapefruit Sparkling Water is made in-house with fresh grapefruit, orange, and lemon juices - and no sweeteners. It debuted in the StormBreaker Mississippi St. and St. John’s taprooms in a limited capacity prior to the holidays for the brewery’s Ugly Sweater Parties and received rave reviews from attendees.

In addition to New Element, StormBreaker unveiled a new mocktail menu that, like its cocktail menu, will change throughout the year based on seasonality and consumer taste evolutions.

“We’re really trying to make the drinking experience enjoyable, curated, and elevated for everyone,” explained Rob Lutz, brewmaster and co-founder of StormBreaker Brewing. “Whether someone is drinking a mocktail, cocktail, or one of our beers, we want them to feel like that beverage was created in a thoughtful manner, with attention to detail on ingredients, presentation, and flavor experience.”

The inaugural mocktail menu will feature five mixtures specially developed by StormBreaker’s bartenders:

  • Apple Mocktini - Apple reduction, Chai tea concentrate, ginger syrup, cardamom bitters, and sparkling water

  • Chamomile Dream - Chamomile concentrate, ginger syrup, grapefruit juice, and grapefruit bitters

  • Goodbye Earl - Earl Grey tea concentrate, vanilla brown sugar simple syrup, walnut bitters, and a splash of orange juice

  • Herbal Berry Fusion - Peppermint tea concentrate, sage simple syrup, ginger syrup, lime, and blackberry

  • Pina Cilantro Sunrise - Egg white, pineapple juice, cilantro simple syrup, Angostura bitters, mango habanero syrup, and a splash of orange juice

“It’s long been a priority for us to show that although we’re a brewery, we have options that extend beyond beer,” continued Lutz. “We strive to be an inclusive space in all aspects of the word and that extends to the drinks we offer. We’re very proud of our cocktail program and our whiskey selection. The time was right to expand our options to appeal more to customers who prefer non-alcoholic drinks And it was important to us to have multiple non-alcoholic options and not simply a single drink to check the box.

Both of StormBreaker’s locations, Mississippi St. and St. John’s, will feature New Element Sparkling Water and the rotating mocktail menu moving forward.

“Dry January felt like a good time to begin offering these non-alcoholic beverages, but they’ll all be available beyond Dry January,” added Lutz. “This isn’t a one time thing just for the month, but a way of showing our commitment to offer a variety of options to customers who are sober, sober curious, or just looking for a change of pace.”

StormBreaker Brewing was co-founded in Portland, Oregon by Dan Malech and Rob Lutz in 2014. The brewery focuses on a wide range of craft beer and specialty craft cocktails and mocktails in their two distinct N. Portland locations, as well as a beer cart at The Yard at Montavilla at NE 82nd and Davis, serving up beer, wine, cider and cocktails available onsite or to go.
