Lagunitas Brewing Releases Willetized Coffee Stout Aged in Rye Bourbon Barrels

Lagunitas Brewing has released the last of the One Hitter Series for 2017, a rye oak barrel-aged Willetized Coffee Stout is similar to last years hit High Westified Imperial Coffee Stout. Using the same barrels from Kentucky's Willett Distillery, Lagunitas put Imperial Stout in them to age for this big, dark and scary 12.6% ABV beast.
Our friends over at Kentucky’s own Willett Distillery have one kind of barrel: wood. And they put two things in them: Bourbon and Rye. We scored some of J.D.'s scrutable casks and put one thing in 'em: beer. The taste tells. It’s a chocolatey, coffee-y, smoky, Bourbon-y beast of a barrel-aged thing. Word. It's good to have friends!
