The Woodsman Tavern Presents the Bourbon Beer Fest and Firkin Fridays

The Woodsman Tavern on SE Division in Portland has long been a semi-under-the-radar beer spot in addition to its top-notch kitchen. From the recent Culmination brewers dinner for Portland Beer Week to the Coffee Beer Fest, The Woodsman has hosted some great beer events and now adds the Bourbon Beer Fest to that lineup. This celebration of bourbon barrel-aged beers runs February 10th and 11th, 2018.Before we get into the taplist for the Bourbon Beer Fest, we should add that The Woodsman recently freshened things up with the hire of culinary master and acclaimed local chef Doug Adams, who has by all accounts put the food back in league with the best in Portland. Owner Duane Sorenson of Stumptown Coffee fame is kicking things up a notch with the hire of Adams and also tells me the bar is now starting Firkin Fridays. Not only do they already have a cask engine, but they will now tap and pour a gravity-fed firkin every Friday starting at 5pm. Real ale fans take note!
