FH Steinbart hosts Mead Day Celebration

Famed, 100 year-old Portland homebrew supply shop FH Steinbart is hosting a Mead Day celebration on Saturday, August 4th from 11am to 3pm. Mead Day is an annual nationwide celebration to increase mead awareness and foster camaraderie among mead makers and enthusiasts. Steinbart will host the FREE and celebration with samples, mead educational discussion and sensory tastings of mead and honey.More from a press release:Mead has been known to be called the “ancestor of all fermented drinks.” Perhaps the oldest known fermented beverage, mead is made by combining honey, water and yeast.
