House Spirits Releases Westward Single Malt Oregon Stout Cask Finish Whiskey

One of Oregon's greatest distilleries, House Spirits, has released a stout cask-finished version of my favorite Oregon whiskey, Westward. House Spirits is famously brewer/beer friendly; the company has its own brewery where it produces whiskey wash that accentuates the malt and beer fermentation characters. Further exploiting its brewing roots and the flavors of craft brewing, House Spirits is introducing Westward American Single Malt Stout Cask Finish. This Saturday, February 23rd, from 2-4pm House Spirits is throwing a Westward Stout Cask Finish release party at the distillery and tasting room in inner southeast Portland. Not only will you be able to taste the new whiskey, but two of the breweries House partnered with will be pouring beers - Bent Shovel Brewing and Migration Brewing. You can also look forward to tours, samples, and cocktails.Stop by to toast Westward’s incredible team of brewers-turned-distillers, and be one of the first fans to pick up a bottle. And if you can’t make it, look for bottles at the Westward Whiskey Tasting Room at Portland International Airport or back at the tasting room at the distillery, with bottles soon hitting your favorite liquor stores.
