Northern California's UC Davis is hosting a free online information session for those interested in their Professional Brewing Programs. Catering towards beginning and advanced homebrewers and brewing industry professionals, UC Davis has long been a hub for aspiring pro brewers.

More from a press release:

Attendees will learn about UC Davis’ Professional Brewing Programs, which range from introductory and intensive short courses to a 15-week certificate program and include in-class and online offerings. The webinar takes place on Thursday, September 19, at 6 p.m. and will feature an introductory video from renowned brewing expert Charlie Bamforth, along with the opportunity to chat live with program staff, instructors and a program alumnus.

“Whether you are with, or aspire to be with, a very large brewing company or a much smaller brewery, you will find what you need at UC Davis,” said Charlie Bamforth, distinguished professor emeritus at UC Davis and senior quality advisor for the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. “Every year, the number of people who successfully complete one or more of our programs can be counted in the hundreds. Even if you don’t intend to join the industry as a professional, there is still a wealth of great information to be had from enrolling in a course.”

During the information session, attendees learn about various educational offerings available, including program requirements and curriculum. In addition, to meeting program staff, those who attend will also get a chance to speak with program instructors and an alumnus of the Master Brewers Certificate Program for a first-hand account of the program benefits.
