Double Mountain Brewery and Cidery is releasing its cult favorite, summer seasonal pizza Heirloom Tomato Pie today, Friday, August 2nd. The Hood River, Oregon-based brewery opened in 2007, but this Sunday August 4th will mark the 3rd anniversary of its Portland taproom in the Woodstock neighborhood. While you are there, check out the new Coyote Sunset IPA collaboration with Barley Brown's, and the recent annual release of Devil's Kriek, Tahoma Kriek and Peche Mode.

Double Mountain's Heirloom Pie is a thing of beauty and is reason enough to visit one of its two locations. This beautiful pizza is a simple showcase of the season's freshest colorful tomatoes on a crackery thin crust. Double Mountain waits to release this pie until it can get fresh tomatoes from farms like Royal Anne Organics. Since the pizza is already layered with tomatoes, they use a pesto sauce below layers of mozzarella and fontal cheese. The final topping is a dusting of fresh grated, sharp pecorino and Parmigiano cheese. Get it now while the heirloom tomatoes last.

Help Double Mountain celebrate the 3rd anniversary of its Portland taproom (4336 SE Woodstock Blvd, Portland, OR 97206) this Sunday from 1-7pm. DM will have its new K.I.S.S. Pale Ale on Draft and served from a firkin with live music and a number of vendors showcasing their crafts.
