Registration Opens for the 2020 World Beer Cup on October 29

Prestigious beer competition recognizes excellence among international brewers

Registration for the World Beer Cup® in 2020 is now open. WBC is sometimes considered the world’s most prestigious beer competition, alongside the Great American Beer Festival. What makes the World Beer Cup so unique is that it's open to brewers from all over the world and happens only every other year during the Craft Brewers Conference. The 2020 Craft Brewers Conference will be held April 12-22nd in San Antonio, Texas this year. Registration for brewers to enter the WBC opens on October 29th and ends on November 13th.

  • Oct. 29 – Nov. 13, 2019 | Brewery application window
  • Jan. 29, 2020 | Deadline for breweries to make competition changes
  • Jan. 29, 2020 | Cancellation/refund deadline for breweries
  • Feb. 17 – 26, 2020 | Non-US breweries: beer samples due to international consolidation points
  • March 9 – 13, 2020 | All breweries: beer judge samples due to Colorado
  • April 22, 2020 | World Beer Cup Awards Ceremony in San Antonio, Texas, USA
  • TBD | European World Beer Cup Awards Ceremony

Founded in 1996, the World Beer Cup began as a way to celebrate the global art and science of brewing. In 2018, more than 8,000 beers from 2,515 breweries, representing 66 countries, were entered into the competition. Beers were judged by an elite international panel of 295 judges from 33 countries.
